Shoppe Object comes to Paris in a visionary collaboration with WSN

The New York design trade show will inaugurate its first Parisian edition at Who’s Next, January 17–19, 2026, bringing together the international design community in a one-of-a-kind event.

Gathering design, furniture, and everything art-de-vivre within a single, multi-disciplinary space infused with creativity, here’s what visitors can expect from the first edition of Shoppe Object Paris: Through a collaboration with WSN, the New York-based design trade show will make its Paris debut at Who’s Next, from January 17th to 19th, in a new biannual event blending a curated selection of international brands and designers. This show-within-a-show approach strengthens WSN’s aspiration to build bridges between fashion, design, and creative ecosystems that unite through vision and community.

“Community is always at the core of what we do and what we stand for”
says Jesse James, founder of Shoppe Object and Senior Vice President of Creation, Experience and Innovation of parent company ANDMORE.

Shoppe Object was born in 2018 from a desire to reinvent the traditional trade show into a place where designers, makers, and retailers could reconnect with the soul of their work: inspiration, experimentation, passionate conversations, and thoughtful curation.

Breaking the mold

“The idea for our show was to take a seminal design brand that people were familiar with, and put it right next to a Brooklyn artisan,” says Jesse James, who sensed a shift in the way lifestyle stores envisioned both their offerings and display. Anyone who wished to break the mold could now come to Shoppe Object to find a forward-thinking curation, mixing the best of design and craftsmanship with books, gourmet and wellness products, personal accessories, home decor, and textiles. From 100 exhibitors at the first edition, the trade show now counts over 850.

From New York to Paris

The connection with Paris made sense from the start. In 2018, when the Shoppe Object team gathered its exhibitors and buyers for an informal Parisian party during the shows, conversations fused and it soon became clear that the industry was craving a local event that would push design and lifestyle forward, in a city where fashion retail was already experimenting with home design and furniture.

When WSN launched Matter & Shape in 2024, new ground was broken to fuel this synergy, fostered by a vibrant ecosystem in which Who’s Next, Premiere Classe, and Shoppe Object now walk side by side. “Paris and New York both have this tradition of edgy, cross-merchandised shops,” says Renata Bokalo, Shoppe Object’s Show Director. “In the way we operate, with our visionary outlooks and with our industry connections, it really felt like we had met kindred spirits in our new Parisian family. ”

Jesse James agrees. “The buyers who we resonate the most with, in the United States and worldwide, are those who also like to travel to Paris to see the shows, looking for a more selective product mix and for retail experiences that keep pushing things forward.” Their next visit will, without a doubt, be Shoppe Object Paris.
