Tell us about Marguerite Concept Store.

I opened the boutique in October 2023, so it's still relatively new. The first year was challenging because I had to learn everything. About 70% of the store's inventory is clothing from national brands that are not widely available. For accessories, I work with small local designers from Lyon and the surrounding region. There are so many talented young creators!

This is my third time attending, and I’ve been coming since I opened my store. The trade show helps because choosing brands isn’t always easy. Who’s Next allows me to discover new brands when you run a small business like mine. I bring a list of criteria, and the buying consultants at the show support me. They help guide me toward brands that fit my needs.

I noticed Kknekki hair ties—they’re trendy among teenagers right now. A small concept store must have fun items like that.

Retail has faced significant challenges lately. How do you feel about 2025?

It’s tough right now. My store is only a year old, so I don’t have much to compare it to, but average spending has dropped. If I take Christmas as an example, customers were cautious and preferred to give small gifts. I hope to increase my customer base, and I need to grow.
