Van Den Abeele breaks new records at Who’s Next

The French brand, specializing in high-end, costume jewelry, has never been doing better. We sat with founder Delphine Van Den Abeele to unpack her secrets.

Van Den Abeele has never been doing better. And its founder Delphine Van Den Abeele has worked a lot to get there. Since launching the brand in 2022, she has attended trade shows around the world to promote her colourful collections of high-end, fantasy jewelry.

The luxury counterpart to Hipanema – her first jewelry success – Van Den Abeele has found its place in a market shaken by economic uncertainty. A reminder that in such times, conversations and partnerships forged at trade shows are essential to staying on course.

« Who’s Next is by far the best trade show out there », says Delphine Van Den Abeele. The brand has experienced unprecedented growth since last year, and had to find the right platform to build on its success.

« Nothing beats Parisian trade shows. The approach here is much more refined when it comes to presentation, booths, and to the quality of brands and buyers. Who’s Next is all about fashion, joy and colors, far more than at any other trade show. »

Including those dedicated to jewelry, where Delphine Van Den Abeele feels there is a lack of inspiration. With a vision of jewelry rooted in textile and woven bracelets, positioning the brand alongside fashion labels makes even more sense.

« Our DNA fits here, because our products work across many different types of retailers, whether it’s department stores, multi-brand fashion and jewelry shops, jewellers, concept stores, etc. Our customer base is broad, and Who’s Next is the place that attracts all these different types of buyers. »

During this new session, Van Den Abeele has matched the sales of the previous January session in a single day. An amazing result that rounds up a surprising year of sales, with Greece unexpectedly proving to be the brand’s best-performing market.

« The Greek market has huge potential that we were not expecting, and that Who’s Next allowed us to consolidate. In such an economic climate, it’s easy to lose partners, so it’s more important than ever to keep an eye out for unexpected opportunities. »
