WSN DEVELOPPEMENT organizes international Fashion, Design and Lingerie trade shows: WHO'S NEXT, PREMIERE CLASSE, MATTER AND SHAPE, IMPACT, BIJORHCA, SALON INTERNATIONAL DE LA LINGERIE and INTERFILIERE PARIS.
We have been organizing events for over 30 years at Porte de Versailles (late January and early September) and in the Jardin des Tuileries during Paris Fashion Week (early March and early October). Our events allow French and international brands to present their collections to professional buyers from around the world, and to connect with all the key players in the industry.
WSN's ambition is to offer fashion retailers physical and digital solutions to grow their business year-round, building on its long-standing expertise as an organizer of professional fashion events.
Our offices are located in Paris (75010), within La Caserne, the largest sustainability accelerator dedicated to the fashion and luxury industry in Europe.
WSN is a subsidiary of the Comexposium group, one of the world's leading event organizers, with 135 events held worldwide each year.
JOB DESCRIPTION
To support our development plan, we are recruiting our future Technical Manager on a permanent contract (CDI).
Reporting to the Operations Department, you will oversee the overall preparation, floor planning and on-site delivery of the trade shows organized by WSN. You will coordinate all technical services, ensure quality execution on site and rigorously manage the budget for each event.
Technical and logistics management
- Overall show preparation: strategic and operational planning aligned with the show's strategy, concept and budget
- Service procurement: purchasing and coordinating all technical and logistics services required by exhibitors and organizers
- Operational file management:
- ○ General installations (GI) and furniture.
○ On-site staffing: security, hosts/hostesses, catering, etc.
○ Signage: briefing suppliers, checking and quality control.
○ Technical connections: electricity, internet, telephony, water.
○ Management of supplies and small logistics equipment. - Budget management and tracking: issuing purchase orders, ongoing cost tracking in close coordination with financial control, and preparing post-event budget reports
Floor planning and layout (AutoCAD)
- Base plan design: proposing space allocation aligned with commercial objectives (theoretical plans, booth layout, numbering) and the needs defined by the marketing/promotion team
- AutoCAD modeling: creating, updating and continuously optimizing layout plans
- Sales tracking: adjusting the technical consistency and layout of the shows as booth sales progress
Show delivery and on-site operations
- Move-in supervision: overseeing the move-in phase, strictly monitoring supplier schedules, ensuring quality assurance and immediately resolving technical issues
- On-site service management: overseeing the proper functioning and service quality of operational teams (reception, security, hygiene and cleaning)
- Walkthroughs: carrying out thorough move-in and move-out inspections of exhibition halls/spaces
- On-site support and move-out: providing technical support to exhibitors throughout the show and overseeing the move-out phase
Team management and reporting
- Managing technical and logistics teams (in-house staff and contractors) throughout all project phases
- Organizing and allocating human resources, tasks and priorities according to show deadlines
- Coaching, training and evaluating members of the technical team
- Regular reporting to the Operations Department: project progress, tracking indicators (budget, schedule, quality) and alerts
- Preparing technical and budget reports at the end of each show, with recommendations for improvement
As the role evolves, you may also be asked to provide administrative support with the tracking and renewal of general services contracts.
DESIRED PROFILE
- You have significant experience organizing large-scale trade shows or fairs
- You have advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, essential for event drafting and layout design
- You are familiar with ERP (public venue) standards and event safety regulations
- You are known for your autonomy, rigor and organizational skills
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and communicate easily with suppliers, exhibitors and teams
- You are able to handle emergencies, react quickly and make fast decisions
- You have proven experience managing and leading technical and logistics teams
- You are comfortable working in a matrix, multi-business and evolving environment
